Dance Parade at Tompkins

Dance Parade at Tompkins

Brujas attended the dance parade held at Tompkins Square Park. Even though we were not aware that the dance parade would be happening with slight rain. The music and vibe of the event contributed to an amazing day. Helping others learn new tricks. In the fifth photo, taken on the 2007 era digital camera, you can see Nilly with her father. She learned her first ollie, and you will also see one of our own members learning a new trick. The groups that performed were amazing, coming from dance studios throughout the tri-state area presenting all different types of dance. Wrinkle the duck made an appearance at Tompkins that day. It's beautiful to see community come together through music and skating and reminds us of shared passion throughout the city.

The second internship cycle begins at the end of July, and we're excited to start it off with a screen printing workshop at Village Works, featuring art by our interns !
